Cutting Systems

The M9000 is a single to low ply cutting system. The cutting surface is a porous plastic. It is a static table. The standard tool head includes three cutting tools (any combination of round blades, drag knife, punches, etc) and a pen/sharpie tool assembly. The number of plies of material that can be cut is material and pattern dependent. The material roll(s) are located at the end of the table. Usually an A-Frame roll rack is used. The operator manually pulls out the material for cutting.

The Eagle conveyor is a single to low ply cutter. The cutting surface is a micro-perforated cutting belt. The belt moves in a circular motion, so your marker/job file is not limited by the size of your table. The standard tool head includes three cutting tools (any combination of round blades, drag knife, punches, etc) and a pen/sharpie tool assembly. How many plys can be cut is material and pattern dependent. If multiple layer cutting is required, Eastman must determine through a test-cut how many layers are achievable. The material is located at the end of the system. The operator feeds the material to the conveyor, once the material is fed, you can set up the system to cut as many jobs/markers as you would like, as long as there is enough material on the roll. You are not limited like you are with a static table system. The operator simply moves to the end of the table and pulls off the cut pieces as they come off the system.

The MPC-7000™ Multi-Ply Cutting System is an automated reciprocating straight knife cutter, with conveyor, capable of cutting up to 2.5 in. (7 cm) of compressed material. Material is automatically conveyed from a spreading table to the cutting area where a polyethylene film automatically covers the spread to create an airtight seal.
